Psychologists at the University of British Columbia, conducted research (Happy Guys Finish Last) inolving more than 1,000 adult participants, and discovered a large gender difference emerged in the sexual attractiveness of happy displays in the sexes.
They found that happiness was the most attractive female emotion expression, and one of the least attractive in males. In contrast, pride showed the reverse pattern; it was the most attract male expression, and one of the least attractive in women.
